My name is Julie and I'm a recent graduate of the Master's in Publishing, Multimedia Publishing and Professional Writing at the University of Angers. After a degree in literature at the same university and a period of mobility abroad, I chose this master's programme for its diversity. We are trained in the publishing and communications professions. After some really interesting experience as a communications officer, I realised that I wanted to move into this field while remaining close to the world of books and culture.

This master's degree is a professional one. It enables us to train for jobs in publishing and communications. We always have literature courses to improve our general knowledge. We took a full course on the Adobe suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Première), as well as web publishing courses where we discovered Wordpress and the HTML and CSS languages.
The literature degree at the University of Angers is divided into two streams: Publishing-Communication and Humanities-Teaching. In my second year, I joined the ÉdiCom stream, where I learned about the theoretical workings of these fields while continuing the training common to both streams. The literature courses focus on each century and movement since Antiquity. We also have courses in literary history, French and language (English or Spanish)
After almost two years of distance learning, I decided to do an Erasmus course in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. There, I was able to take courses in literature and French as a Foreign Language (FLE), but above all I discovered different European cultures by living alongside Czechs as well as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and German students. This experience has helped me to grow and become more independent and autonomous. I opened myself up to others and to the world by learning to manage my emotions and stress.
The aim of this 6-month placement is to validate my second year of my Masters and to gain experience. Based at the Parc des Expositions in Angers, I'll be assisting the Head of Projects by organising trade fairs. .
The designer of Serje, a brand of eco-responsible underwear, asked me to create her online shop, her only sales channel. Using Wordpress, it took me a few months to create the site and get it up and running.
In the first year of my Master's degree, I had the opportunity to work on a professional contract at the University of Angers' Job Placement Centre. Located on the same premises, I was able to alternate between my job as a communications officer and my student status. My main tasks were to help organise the Careers Forum, write and create communication materials for various projects and complete an interactive career map for students. This experience made me realise that I wanted to work in communications.
As well as my coursework, I did some childminding for the BabyChou Service agency. I was in charge of a family of three children (aged 7 months to 5 years), whom I picked up after school or from the crèche.
My escape
My escape
I've always loved reading. Over time, I've moved towards historical novels. I love learning more about how people lived in different eras. In my opinion, reading is a great way to escape, develop your imagination and rest your mind. I like being able to put myself in my own bubble when I need to, and recharge my batteries.
My top 3 :
- "Le Confident", Hélène Gremillon
- "Veiller sur Elle", Jean-Baptiste Andréa
- "Charlotte", David Foenkinos

Living alone often means not coming home in the evening and having dinner ready. I like to eat well, so I have to get down to work!
I've discovered new ways of cooking, for myself and for others. I really enjoy preparing, monitoring and seasoning!

I'am curious about, and above all admiring, the work of the hands. Embroidery, sewing, macramé...
I've started embroidery and macramé. This allows me to work on my impatience and take my time to do things properly. It's not quite there yet, but I'm trying and I'm learning! (Thanks youtube)
